2016年7月9日より福島・安達太良山で実施されるオックスファム・ジャパン主催トレイルウォーカー東北2016に、今年も学生チームがエントリーします。

このイベントは、1チーム４名が24時間以内に50キロメートルもしくは48時間以内に100キロメートルの山道を歩くという国際ボランティアです。エントリーのもう一つの条件として、ファンドレイジングがあります。出場するチームから集められた募金は、今後オックスファムを通じて、シリアをはじめとした緊急人道支援や途上国における自立支援プログラム、東北や熊本の復興支援に活用されます。

今年度出場する１チーム4名は、国際交流学科2年の田邊さん（リーダー）、渡部さん、今原さん、星澤さん、そして西原さんです。

Participation in 2016
Our university's team is also participating in 2016's edition of Trailwalker Tohoku, starting from 9.7.2016 around Mount Adatara in Fukushima.

In this event each team of four participants will have to cover a distance of 50 kilometers on mountain trails within 24 hours . Other groups of international volunteers will attempt a more difficult challenge of walking 100 kilometers in 48 hours.
One of the purposees of participation is fundraising. Funds collected by each team competing in the race will be used for a program of self-reliance support for developing countries initiated as a part of Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief (OCHA) in Syria and for the reconstruction support of Tohoku and Kumamoto.
This year's team's members are: Tanabe-san (leader), Watanabe-san, Imahara-san, Hoshisawa-san and Nishiwara-san, and are all International Exchange Studies students at JIU.
