JIU Josai International University
From childhood to the elderly, there are various stages of life (life stages). Medical welfare workers support people's lives so that they can spend their lives in good health. Josai International University has 3 faculties and 4 departments related to medical and welfare.
At our university, we implement "Life Stage IPE (Interprofessional Education)," an interprofessional education program that deepens understanding among healthcare and welfare professionals by having students from these departments learn together.
Nursing, physical therapy, pharmacy, and social welfare collaborate to broaden learning perspectives.
IPE (Interprofessional Education) is an interprofessional education program implemented in Togane City, Chiba Prefecture, where the main campus is located, as well as in the neighboring cities of Sanmu and Oamishirasato. The four departments—Nursing, Physical Therapy, Medical Pharmacy, and Social Welfare—are equipped with the knowledge and ingenuity to cultivate local medical and welfare professionals who can support residents in aging, medically underserved areas.
