The 2023 Fall Entrance Ceremony was held at Chiba Togane Campus on September 15th, and 222 students from 17 countries and regions took a new step forward. The fall entrance ceremony, where international students make up the majority of new students, has been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic, and this was the first time in four years that it was held.
In his farewell address, University President Kenji Sugibayashi gave examples of major changes and issues occurring on a global scale, such as widening economic disparities among developed countries and advances in science and medical technology using AI and data science. Please come to this university to think and learn about how society is changing and how it will move forward."

He encouraged the new students, saying from his own experience, "Tomorrow's self is the result of what you think and how you act today. Think of everyone around you as your mentor, and broaden your horizons.
Kim Ga-young (Faculty Faculty of Media Studies Department of Media And Communications) delivered the oath on behalf of the new students, powerfully expressing her aspirations, saying, "At university, I would like to study video production, acquire broader and deeper specialized knowledge, get to know many people, and take on a variety of challenges."
After the ceremony, the new students were divided into their departmental classrooms, participated in an orientation session with faculty members, and began their student life at our university.
