Women's Ekiden Club participating in the All-Japan University Women's Ekiden Championship

Delito Elizabeth Jeri (4th year Faculty of Management and Information Sciences) placed 2nd in the 1st ward and section at the 29th Kanto University Women's Ekiden Championships (center)

It has been decided that the women's relay race team will participate in the 41st All Japan Women's University Ekiden Tournament, which will be held in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture on October 29th.
The All Japan Women's University Ekiden Championship is a 38km course with 6 sections, and 26 teams from all over the country will participate.
This was our university's long-awaited participation for the first time in 12 years. Thank you for your support of the players.

Director Yoshihiko Morioka

I will be able to participate in the All-Japan University Women's Ekiden (Mori no Miyako), which I have not been able to compete in since 2011.
Every day, we encouraged the team by telling them, ``Let's make new history,'' but the team grew into a team led by the captain, ``rather than lamenting what we can't do, we look for what we can do.''
During the running season in July, we ran 30k starting at 4 a.m. The club members ran silently without making any unpleasant faces, and when I saw them getting dressed and cheerfully heading off to class, I was sure to join these kids. I wanted to go to Sendai.
In this year's tournament, we will first be in the top 12 of the seed spots for the All Japan University Women's Invitational Ekiden (Mt. Fuji) to be held in December, then the top ten, and then the top 8 to qualify for the seeding for the All Japan University Women's Ekiden (Mori no Miyako). With this three-step goal, I would like to take a new step in Sendai, the forest capital. Please provide some support.

Yasuko Matsui Coach

This time, with everyone's help, I was able to get a ticket to the All-Japan University Women's Ekiden.
I believe that the days they overcame will become a great asset.
Next, we will work as a team to spread the name of Josai International University and the courage and excitement we hold in our hearts on the nationwide network. Thank you for your support.

Rena Kato Captain

This year's team has focused squarely on each task and has shown unity under an unwavering goal. This is our first appearance in 12 years, and the entire team will aim to win the prize, riding on this momentum that has steadily improved. Thank you for your support.
