Women's Ekiden Club performed well at the 41st All Japan Women's University Ekiden Tournament

Nanami Nagashima (1st year Department of Social Work Studies) achieved 4th place in section 6.

Our university's women's relay race team participated in the 41st All-Japan Women's University Ekiden Tournament held in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture on Sunday, October 29th. This will be his 11th participation in the tournament and the first time in 12 years.

There was an accident in the 1st section, and although they managed to make it to the 2nd section, they were unable to reduce the time difference and had to start early in the final stages. I tried to make a comeback in the 6th ward and was able to leave a good result of 4th place in the section, but my overall result was 23rd place. Although it was a disappointing result, the manager, coaches, and players worked together to make it a tournament that will lead us to the next tournament.

Coach Yoshihiko Morioka said, ``I will carefully examine this result and work hard with the students again.First of all, I want to improve my level so that I can participate as a team for the first time in the Mt. Fuji Women's Ekiden, which will be held at the end of the year.'' He told me.
