It has been decided that the Women's Ekiden Club will participate in the 2023 All Japan University Women's Invitational Relay Race (2023 Mt. Fuji Women's Relay Race), which will be held on December 30, 2023.

Teams that place in the top 12 at the 41st All-Japan University Women's Ekiden are eligible to participate, and our university has decided to compete for the remaining 10 spots this time, with 7 students from each school competing based on their time for the 5,000m race. This is our university's first participation since 2009, and the first time since the course changed to the Mt. Fuji Course and became the Mt. Fuji Women's Ekiden.
This event is a 43.4km course that spans 7 sections with ups and downs at the foot of Mt. Fuji, connecting Fujinomiya City and Fuji City, Shizuoka Prefecture. Please give a warm cheer to the athletes who are running with all their might.

Comment from Director Yoshihiko Morioka
Thanks to your support, we will be able to participate as a team in the All-Japan Student Selection Mt. Fuji Ekiden at the end of the year for the first time.
I will not forget the regret of not being able to do it at the All-Japan University Women's Ekiden in Sendai in October, and I will do my best to show off all the hard work I have done, so I ask for your support.

Comment from coach Yasuko Matsui
At the All-Japan University Women's Ekiden, more people helped out than I expected, and I was filled with gratitude, including students.
We will continue to work together as a team, despite the rain, wind, and the demands of balancing our studies, and will continue to demonstrate the fruits of our daily efforts on the big stage at Mt. Fuji. We appreciate your continued support.

Captain Rena Kato comment
I am really happy that Mt. Fuji was able to participate for the first time as well as All Japan, and that we were able to make great progress as Josai International University Women's Ekiden Club. As the last race of this year, we would like to express our gratitude to those who have supported us up until now, and we would like to make this relay race a place where we can show the final culmination of this team's accomplishments. We will also do our best to show our full potential, keeping in mind the disappointment we experienced at All Japan. Please provide some support.
