Faculty Department

2023.12.22

The Hachioji Short Film Film Festival aims to discover new filmmakers and become a film festival that will be called the "gateway to success for new film directors" in the future, and to broadly explore Hachioji's townscape, culture, history, nature, and people in its films. It was established in 2013 with the aim of contributing to the promotion of Hachioji's culture and art by introducing it, and this year marks the 11th time.
Entries were solicited from both the "General Division" and "Student Division," and after the first and second rounds, the Grand Prix and Semi-Grand Prix were selected at the final selection (film festival). The award ceremony was held on December 9th, and ``Girl Meets Girl,'' directed by Natsu Abe, a third-year student Faculty of Media Studies, won the grand prize in the student category.

Comment from Natsu Abe
