The signing ceremony for the industry-academia collaboration agreement with RS Technologies Co., Ltd. (Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo) and the award ceremony for the Ho Nagayoshi Scholarship Excellence Award were held on April 9th at the International Conference Hall on the 5th floor of Building 3 at the Tokyo Kioicho Campus. Approximately 60 people participated, including CEO Ho Nagayoshi of RS Technologies Co., Ltd., our university's University President Masato Kurabayashi, and faculty and students from the Graduate Graduate School of International Administration including the five scholarship recipients.

RS Technologies Co., Ltd. Representative Director Nagayoshi Ho was a member of the first class when the university opened in 1992, and will graduate from the Graduate Graduate School of Management and Information Sciences in 2023, earning his doctorate from the university. He founded RS Technologies Co., Ltd. in 2010. The company expanded its reclaimed and prime wafer business, and was listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange in 2015. The company currently has wafer production bases in Japan, Taiwan, and China, and serves major semiconductor manufacturers around the world as customers. It is a leading Japanese company with the top global market share for reclaimed wafers.

Due to this connection, we have now concluded an industry-academia collaboration agreement with the aim of supporting research on M&A and cultivating human resources who will be able to co-create between startups and business companies.

In addition, the Fang Eiyoshi Scholarship is funded by a donation from Representative Fang and this year marks the seventh year that it has been awarded.

This scholarship will be awarded to outstanding international graduate students enrolled in Graduate School of International Administration who have a passion for Japanese culture and are able to act in the interest of both Japan and their home country.

Representative Fang expressed his expectations for the graduate students' future success, saying, "I hope that you will take back to your home countries what you have studied and absorbed in this wonderful country of Japan, put it into practice, and work hard to promote friendship between Japan and your home countries."
