Starting May 21st, Daisuke Araki has been appointed coach of the baseball team.
[Biography]
In 1983, he joined the Yakult Swallows (now the Tokyo Yakult Swallows) from Waseda Jitsugyo High School.
In 1996, he moved to the Yokohama BayStars (now the Yokohama DeNA BayStars) and retired in the same year.
In 1999, he studied pitching as a coach at the Akron Aeros, a Class 2A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians (now the Cleveland Guardians) of Major League Baseball.
2004: Seibu Lions (now Saitama Seibu Lions) first-team pitching coach.
2008: Tokyo Yakult Swallows first-team pitching coach.
2018: Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters 2nd team manager.
2021 Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters first-team pitching coach.
He later worked as a baseball commentator.
My name is Araki and I have been appointed as the coach of the Josai International University baseball team. This is my first time coaching university students, but I will impart everything I have learned in my baseball career so far. I hope to use it to help the students grow. Thank you for your support.
