Ando competes well at the World Triathlon Para Cup (Samarkand, Uzbekistan)

Takumi Ando (4th year, Department Faculty of International Humanities Department of International Exchange Studies) participated in the World Triathlon Para Cup held in Samarkand (Uzbekistan) on Saturday, May 18, 2024, as a representative of Japan. In this competition, participants compete in a 750m swim, a 19km bike ride, and a 5km run. He recorded a time of 1:03:04, which improved his personal best time, but he placed 10th out of 15 competitors. Although it was a disappointing result, Ando will continue to practice hard in order to aim for the next stage.

Thank you very much for all your support. This time I participated in the World Cup as a representative of Japan for paratriathlon. I will continue to work hard every day so that I can live up to the support you have shown me.
