On June 21st, at our Chiba Togane Campus, we signed a partnership with Chiba ZELVA, a member of the men's volleyball V.LEAGUE run by Chiba Rise General Incorporated Association (Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture), with the aim of contributing to the Togane area through volleyball.
At the signing ceremony held at our university, Akira Yoshikawa, representative director of Chiba Rise and head of the Chiba ZELVA office, said enthusiastically, "I think that being able to connect with the local community and the university is the first step towards our goal. I would like to work together to contribute to the local community through sports that will make everyone in the community happy." University President Masato Kurabayashi expressed his expectations, saying, "I am very happy that we were able to enter into this agreement with an eye to the future. Sports are an important approach to revitalizing the community, and I would like to think about creating new places and opportunities for those who will be responsible for the future."
Our university and Chiba ZELVA are planning to hold a V.LEAGUE match at our university's Sports and Culture Center on December 28th and 29th, inviting local residents, including elementary and junior high school students from the Togane area. Through this partnership, we aim to participate in the management of home games and to carry out community contribution activities proposed by the university and team.
