Two graduates to compete in the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games

The 2024 Olympic Games (July 26th - August 11th) and the Paralympics (August 28th - September 8th) will be held in Paris, France. Two of our graduates have been selected to compete in the Paralympics. We look forward to your enthusiastic support.

Badminton

Hiroshi Murayama (1996 Graduate of Faculty of Management and Information Sciences) Affiliation: SMBC Green Service
At the Tokyo Paralympics, he won a bronze medal in the men's doubles with Kajiwara and also placed fourth in the men's singles.

Comment from Murayama

Thank you for your continued support. I will be competing in the badminton event at the Paris Paralympics.
I feel humbled to be competing in my second Paralympics after Tokyo.
I will prepare thoroughly and fight with all my might to win the gold medal that I was unable to achieve in Tokyo.
The Para-badminton event will be held from August 29th to September 2nd, so please come along and support us.

Marathon

Tomoki Suzuki (2017 Graduate of Faculty of Management and Information Sciences) Affiliation: Toyota Motor Corporation
At the Tokyo Paralympics, he served as the anchor in the 400m universal relay final, winning the bronze medal, and also showed a strong start in the marathon, finishing in seventh place.
