Description of the short film

At the "Chiyoda Community 2025 Lab Live!" held at Chiyoda Ward Office (Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo) on Sunday, March 2nd, a report was given on "Chiyoda Studies," which was adopted for the 2024 academic year as part of the "Chiyoda Studies" project, "Producing a short film set on the slopes of Chiyoda Ward through Research into slopes in creative activities" (Seminar by Associate Professor Katsunori Sato, Faculty of Media Studies).

Chiyoda Ward has the fifth most named slopes of any of Tokyo's 23 wards, and there have been cases of ordinary landscapes featured in anime and other media becoming tourist destinations. With this as a backdrop, we focused on Chiyoda Ward's slopes, with the aim of promoting the charm of the ward's environment and scenery through the slopes.

The origins and scenery of the slopes were researched from April to September, and Associate Professor Sato wrote the script from September to October. After location scouting, about 15 slopes were selected, and filming took place from the end of November to December, resulting in the completion of a work of about 40 minutes.

The title of the short film is "Chisaka Monogatari." It was produced jointly by Associate Professor Sato, 14 seminar students, and graduates of Faculty of Media Studies. The film was directed to express the protagonist's anxieties and hopes through the hills, giving the whole film a unique appeal.
