The 34th Matriculation Ceremony for the 2025 academic year was held on April 2nd at Chiba Togane Campus. 1,291 new students, including 348 international students from 18 countries and regions, and 52 students from the two-year educational program for the general public, "JIU Wellness College Program," took their first steps into the new world with bright smiles on their faces.
University President Masato Kurabayashi said that the student life at JIU for the new students should be a time and a place to build up strength for the future. As you learn to "study," you will surely meet many different people and face difficulties that are more difficult than you expected. Our senior students will surely help you. And we, the faculty and staff, will always be available to listen to your concerns and walk alongside you to help you overcome various difficulties and live a fulfilling student life with energy.
Representative of the new students, Miyu Kimura from Faculty of Media Studies Department of Media And Communications pledged, "Through the learning that can only be had at a comprehensive, international university, I would like to broaden my own possibilities and expand my opportunities for future success."
On behalf of all current students, Momoko Tsuchiya, a fourth-year student in Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences Department of Clinical Pharmacy, gave a welcoming speech, saying, "If you cherish your encounters, face yourself, and live with goals in mind, you will naturally be able to lead a fulfilling student life. I hope you gain many wonderful experiences at Josai International University. We are all supporting and rooting for you."
A special lecture was also given by Assistant Professor Saito Carmen from the Faculty of Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and the new students appeared to gain a deeper understanding of the university's international nature and community collaboration efforts.

Orientation for new students began on April 1st, and we could see students making friends and chatting with each other and taking commemorative photos with their families all over the campus. The whole campus was lively with students in extracurricular activities inviting new students. All faculty and staff will support the student life of the new students.
