Mr. Takagi giving a lecture
Suzuhana Takagi (4th year, Faculty of Media Studies), a member of the University Festival Executive Committee at the Tokyo Kioicho Campus, gave a lecture titled "Disaster Prevention Education in Collaboration with the Security Division of Kojimachi Police Station" at the Kojimachi Partnership Training Session held at the National Theatre Traditional Performing Arts Information Center (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) on May 14th.
The Kojimachi Partnership is a collaboration agreement between Chiyoda Ward, which has jurisdiction over the Kojimachi Police Station, and various organizations (individuals, companies, organizations, etc.) operating within the ward. Specifically, it refers to the police station and private organizations working together in activities aimed at "creating a safe and secure town" as defined by the ward. Our university has participated in the student volunteer training seminars hosted by the Metropolitan Police Department every year since 2022, and signed a partnership in 2024.
The Kojimachi Partnership Training Seminar is held once a year, and this was our university's second time participating. Given our active work with the police station, this was our first time giving a lecture.
Approximately 70 people attended the event, and Takagi, who was in charge of the lecture, explained the collaborative rescue training between our university and the police station, as well as the disaster prevention education video being produced by students Faculty of Media Studies interspersed with anecdotes. Takagi said, "We had the opportunity to reaffirm our efforts with the people at Kojimachi Police Station, and our awareness of disaster prevention has increased even further. We would be happy if we could continue this activity and let many people know about it."
