The latest version of the "Database of Scientists Based on Standardized Citation Indices," a comprehensive list created by Stanford University and Elsevier to identify the world's top 2% of scientists, was released on September 19, 2025. Three researchers affiliated with the Innovation Base at our university - Distinguished Professor Akihisa Inoue, Distinguished Professor Yuichi Sugiyama, and Distinguished Professor Kenji Sugibayashi- were ranked in both the "Single Recent Year" and "Career-long" categories.

そのうち、本学イノベーションベースの井上明久特別栄誉教授は、Scopusの文献数ランキングにおいてScience-Metrix部門、世界第1位となりました。

The rankings are based on the Scopus citation database and evaluate and rank 5 million Research worldwide who have published at least five papers in 22 scientific fields and 17 subfields using a combination of indicators. The top 2% have been published annually since 2015.
