JIU ESPORTS ARENA Launches: A Stage for Next-Generation Learning and Challenge

Since the launch of our eSports club last year, we have been working to create new educational value and develop human resources through eSports. The "JIU ESPORTS ARENA" will soon be completed in Building D on Chiba Togane Campus. The facility is now ready for events, and was opened to the public for the first time at the recent JIU FESTIVAL. We will continue preparations until completion, aiming to provide a more authentic environment for students to train and interact.

Going forward, we will carry out a variety of activities, including intramural tournaments, joint events with the local community, and educational programs in collaboration with industry and academia. Based at the "JIU ESPORTS ARENA," we will create a place where students can challenge themselves, learn, and grow through esports together with their peers.

 

 

 

 

In March 2025, our university team won the regional qualifiers for the inter-university division of the "Mynavi e-Care Esports National University Championship 2025 Apex Legends" and advanced to the national tournament (held in Tokyo). Despite it being their first time competing, they achieved 20th place in the nation, and we expect them to continue to do well in the future.
