Two students selected for Togane City Student Award

Togane City, where Josai International University 's Chiba Togane Campus is located, held the Togane City Government Meritorious Service Awards Ceremony at Togane City Hall on November 21st to honor those who have made contributions to the city's development. At the awards ceremony, two students from our university were recognized: Yego Daisy Jelop (Women's Ekiden Club, first-year student Faculty of Management and Information Sciences) and Kubota Yuki (fourth-year student Faculty of Tourism).
Daisy was awarded this prize for placing second in the women's 5000m at the 94th Emperor's Cup Japan Inter-School Track and Field Championships held in June. Daisy expressed her joy at receiving the award, saying, "I am very happy that my results at the tournament led to this selection. I will do my best in the tournament in December."

Kubota was the first student to receive the Encouragement Award at the Tour Conductor of the Year 2024, sponsored by the Japan Tour Conductor Services Association, and this award was given in recognition of his particularly outstanding achievements and accomplishments. Kubota also spoke about his future aspirations, saying, "I am truly grateful to receive such an honorable award. I will continue to work hard even after I enter the workforce."

The city's "Student Awards" was established in 2019 and recognizes students who have contributed to enhancing the city's reputation through extracurricular activities and other activities.
