The finals of the "Chiba Limited Career Intercollegiate 2025" (sponsored by Chiba Prefecture Internship Promotion Committee) were held on December 17th at Chiba Perier Hall (Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture), with three second-year students Department of International Exchange Studies of Faculty of International Humanities competing and taking home the impressive victory.

This year marks the eighth year for this business contest, which is open to university and graduate students in Chiba Prefecture and is run in cooperation with three local companies. The contest focuses on the current challenges that each company is facing, and the students are asked to propose solutions to those challenges.
This year, 183 people participated, with 55 teams entering. Among them, "JIU AXE," formed by three second-year students from Department of International Exchange Studies, Shibuya Harune, Yamauchi Otoha, and Takekawa Masaaki, received a corporate award from Artiri Co., Ltd. after a preliminary document screening. Furthermore, they were recognized for their insight into issues and social innovation, and were selected as one of the six teams to advance to the finals, which will feature a presentation and question-and-answer session.

This entry was undertaken as a program of the "Practical Career Workshop" organized by Center for Career Development and Placement, which is part of the career development support for students promoted by the University.
The three JIU Axe members worked on the project from the company Research within a limited time frame and received advice from the Center for Career Development and Placement staff as they prepared. In the finals, they proposed "Wellbeing City Chiba", a joint effort with JIU under the theme of "Solving Local Issues through Altiri Chiba x SDGs", with health, environment, and welfare as its three main focuses.

Regarding their results, the students expressed their joy, saying, "Each of us had different opinions and we sometimes clashed, but overcoming these challenges definitely strengthened our team.We were very worried about whether we would pass the document screening process, so we would like to thank everyone at Center for Career Development and Placement who taught us, our teachers who supported us, and our friends and family who helped us."
