On November 23, 2023, the ``2023 Machi no Eki Festival'' was held at Faculty of Social Work Studies Togane (Chiba Prefecture), with 4th year students from the Seminar by Department of Social Work Studies of Welfare, and Satoko Iga, Faculty of Nursing, Department of Nursing. First and second year assistant professor seminar students presented the results of their research on "food loss countermeasures," "reuse activities," and "disaster food for the elderly and children" to local residents, and presented the results of their research on "food loss countermeasures," "disaster food for the elderly and children," and presented the results of their research on various types of disasters provided by Togane City. We had a food exhibition.

The ``2023 Town Station Festival'' is sponsored by the Town Station Network Togane, and various sales and experience events are held from each town station in Togane City. This year is the first time in four years that the event has been held.

Approximately 60 local people came to see the university's booth. Many people were interested in the display of disaster food such as "recipes using disaster food with near expiration dates" researched by students, disaster food for the elderly and children, and hamburgers that can be stored for 7 years. .

In fact, we received comments from people who were affected by the floods in September 2023, saying, ``It's important to be prepared for times when there are no disasters.I'm grateful that you are doing this kind of activity when there are no disasters.'' Ta.

Through these activities, the students felt a positive response, saying, ``I'm glad that the local community learned about the research we conducted,'' and ``I'm glad that we were able to do something that would help reduce food loss.''
