Community Medical Pharmacy Endowed Chair by Chiba Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. Features of the department

Starting in April 2025, our university will establish a "Community Medical Pharmacy Endowed Chair" through a donation from Chiba Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.

In recent years, the functions of family pharmacies and health support pharmacies in the community have become more diverse. Chiba Co., Ltd. is a company that puts the smiles and health of the community first, and has signed agreements with Chiba Prefecture and 25 local governments in Chiba Prefecture to promote health promotion and other initiatives. Meanwhile, our Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences has taken advantage of the strengths of a comprehensive university and has worked with the Department of Nursing, Department of Physical Therapy, and Department of Social Work Studies to train pharmacists who can provide health and welfare to all people. This endowed course will involve industry-academia collaboration that takes advantage of the strengths of both being located in Chiba Prefecture. In the efforts of local residents in which Chiba Co., Ltd. and each local government work together, we will promote health promotion efforts rooted in the community through collaboration to strengthen scientific evidence. With the aim of contributing to the local community while training future pharmacists, we will take on the following challenges.
