The students then received training in first aid and disaster prevention techniques. Faculty of Media Studies students learning about special makeup created realistic scars on the hands and feet of students playing the role of injured people, and the event also served as an opportunity to showcase what they had learned at university.
In addition, after receiving lectures on how to tie ropes and other topics from members of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department's Disaster Countermeasures Division and the Tokyo Fire Department's Kojimachi Fire Department, students competed in a disaster countermeasure competition between universities, where they competed for the best time in a game format.

In preparation for an earthquake directly hitting the Tokyo metropolitan area, which is said to have a 70-80% chance of occurring within the next 30 years, we will continue to actively participate in community-wide drills and provide ongoing disaster prevention education.
