2024 Study Research Activity Grant Program Results Presentation Held

student activities

2024.12.18

The results presentation for the Learning Research Activity Grant Project was held on December 7th at Chiba Togane Campus.
This project, named the "Student Research Activity Grant Project," aims to support Research activities conducted independently by students and calls for organizations to apply for grants every year.
Organizations that are selected from applications based on the theme are given the opportunity to present the results of their activities at a results presentation held on the same day as Chiba (nationwide) district conference. This provides an opportunity for lively exchange of ideas and inspiration from different perspectives that can be utilized in the future.

This year's results presentation was the second to be held since the program was renamed the "Learning Research Activity Grant Program" in 2023, in line with the idea that students are "mastering" what they have "learned" through their activities.

Until now, the event was divided into two categories: the "Oral Presentation" and the "University Festival Presentation." This year, however, with the hope that the selected organizations in both categories would have the opportunity to interact across departments and fields, leading to the creation of new ideas, and with the aim of making the learning outcomes more visible to family members, the "University Festival Presentation" was changed to the "Poster Presentation." The "Oral Presentation" and "Poster Presentation" categories were held simultaneously at Chiba Togane Campus.

On the day, 15 groups gave oral presentations and 9 groups gave poster presentations, and the oral presentations were simultaneously streamed on YouTube for interested parties.
The oral presentation session lasted from 10:00 to 16:30, but many students, faculty, staff, family members, and other related parties attended and participated in lively Q&A sessions. Students who gave presentations also commented that it was a good opportunity to learn a lot.

Although the poster presentation was held far from the oral presentation venue, many students and their families attended, and we received comments such as, "It's interesting to see what kind of things we are studying in other departments."

The awards ceremony is scheduled to be held on February 6, 2025, and the three organizations with the highest scores in each category will be awarded based on a combination of the results of the evaluation forms submitted by attendees at the results presentation and the results of the final reports that will be submitted at a later date.
