The 143rd Annual Meeting of the Pharmaceutical Society of Japan was held at Hokkaido University from March 25 to 28, 2023, and Ms. Ayana Murayama, a sixth-year student in the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences Sciences, presented the results of her graduation research in the general academic presentation (oral presentation section). won the best student presentation award. 22.1% of the 884 presentations that were reviewed were awarded prizes, and the content of the presentations was highly evaluated.

There are two categories for general academic presentations: oral presentations and poster presentations. Mr. Murayama also participated in poster presentations. I didn't feel any response immediately after the presentation, but I think I was able to answer the question and answer by making use of the knowledge I gained from interacting in the laboratory," looking back from the preparations to the day of the presentation.

I also received the award notification by email. Mr. Murayama said, "There were many aspects of my oral presentation that I was inexperienced, so I couldn't believe that I had won the award. However, a friend said to me, 'I think I won the award because I was able to respond well to the questions in the oral presentation.' I think it's the result of the support I received from many people, including the teachers who gave me guidance, my seniors, and my friends."
