Flow of admission Recruitment information

I want to learn Japanese! If you think so, please first check whether you are eligible to apply and proceed with preparations according to the application guidelines.
There are two opportunities to enroll in Josai International University 's Japanese Studies Program, in April and September.
Here we will briefly introduce the process from application to admission.

STEP 1: Check the application eligibility requirements

STEP 2: Submit your application

Please read the application guidelines carefully, prepare your application documents, and submit them to our university by the deadline.
If you are taking the exam from overseas, please scan your completed application documents and send them in advance by email to bekka@jiu.ac.jp.
If there are any missing or incomplete documents, we will contact you.
Once your application is complete, your admission ticket will be sent to you by email (or by post for domestic applicants) at least five days before the exam date.

STEP 3: Selection

Document screening and applicant interview (in Japanese) will be conducted.
If you are residing overseas at the time of taking the exam, the interview will be conducted online.

STEP 4: Notification of acceptance/failure/admission procedures

The test results will be sent by email (by post for domestic applicants).
If you pass, please submit the enclosed admission procedure documents and pay tuition fees.
Once confirmed, we will send you an admission letter.

STEP 5: Application for Certificate of Eligibility (COE)

After completing the admission procedures, you will need to undergo a document review by the Immigration Services Agency in order to obtain a student visa.
This application will be made on your behalf by our university.
Once the Certificate of Eligibility has been issued, you will receive a visa in your home country.

STEP 6: Immigration procedures

We will work with you to prepare for your arrival, such as adjusting your entry schedule and deciding where to live.
Upon entering the country, our staff will meet you at the airport.
