Faculty of Media Studies student's work wins second prize at Kochi Anime Creator Awards

Film and Performing Arts Course

The Kochi Anikuri Festival, which has been held since 2022 as part of the Kochi Anime Creator Holy Land Project, held the Kochi Anime Creator Award, an animation work contest, at the Kochi Jiba-san Center (Kochi City, Kochi Prefecture) on April 20, 2024.
Of the 122 submitted works, two works by students from Film and Performing Arts Course at the Faculty of Media Studies were selected as nominees (out of 27 works). One of these works won the runner-up prize.
Both of the nominated works were created by students Faculty of Media Studies' Film and Performing Arts Course in the Animation CG seminar, under the guidance of faculty members as part of their seminar activities.

Runner-up award winner: "Planet Re-Union"

This is a 3DCG video work created as a graduation project by a medical school student who graduated in March 2023 in his fourth year.

This is an anime-style 3DCG video work created by a fourth-year student in his third year as part of a seminar activity in 2024. Unfortunately, he did not win the award, but the fourth-year students will aim to win the award for their graduation project.
