2023.04.21
The Josai International University Academic Association, whose members are faculty, staff, and students of the university and which works to promote educational and Research activities, conducts a Student Research Activity Grant Program every year to support the learning and Research activities of students. Among the organizations selected for this grant program, each student-led organization has completed a final report summarizing the learning and Research content for 2022 and submitted it to Josai International University Academic Association.
In 2022, three themes were set: "SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals)," "Environmental Transformation (EX)," and "Digital Transformation (DX)." Each organization selected one of these themes and carried out their learning and Research activities. This final report was created based on the content presented at the results presentation in December 2022.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the results presentation has been held online since 2020, but in 2022 we were able to resume face-to-face presentations. Visitors were able to exchange opinions directly with the students, and by using live streaming on YouTube, parents living far away were able to see the results of the students. It was also an opportunity for students and academic advisors to see the growth of this initiative in a visible way, and each of them felt a sense of accomplishment.
After the presentations, the winners were selected through voting both at the venue and online, with one Grand Prize winner and two Excellence Prize winners selected. The award ceremony (online) was held later, where the winning students and their supervisors participated. After receiving their certificates from University President Kenji Sugibayashi, they listened to comments from Vice University President Masato Kurabayashi.
