Announcement of roadside station and university project

A report meeting on the regional studies co-creation project was held on February 8th at the stage court on the 1st floor of Togane Shopping Center Sunpia. This project, consisting of 97 students in 8 groups, will be carried out throughout the year. Based on the experiences they gained through group work, fieldwork, interviews, and participation in events related to each theme, the students gave presentations to the audience gathered at the venue.

The Regional Academic Co-Creation Project is an activity in which students play a central role in thinking about issues and solutions regarding various themes surrounding Chiba Togane Campus. Our university has been working on this initiative since 2019, and we have deepened our collaboration with local residents, the government, and local businesses. Since last year, we have rented the stage court at Togane Shopping Center Sunpia to hold presentations. Through this project, students will work to solve regional issues and revitalize the city, developing planning, management, and creativity skills.

The themes announced this time are as follows.

We presented the results of our one-year efforts on each theme to the general public and the companies and organizations that cooperated with our activities, including materials. The students expressed in their own words the ideas they had gained through their own experiences, and made presentations that were easy to understand. At the end of each presentation, many questions and opinions were raised, making it a valuable opportunity for exchange of opinions.

Yuto Kaneko, a first-year student in the Department of Tourism Faculty of Tourism, who participated in and gave a presentation on this project's "Roadside Station and University Project," said, ``While working on the project, I acquired planning skills.I want to utilize them in my future classes and activities.'' '', he said, feeling confident through the project.
