A study session for JIU graduates who are working as teachers after graduating from the university was held on August 3rd at the Chiba Togane Campus. This was the second time the session has been held, and it is held to deepen interactions between graduates. A total of nine people participated in the session, including 13 graduates who are currently working as teachers, as well as eight fourth-year students in the Department of Department of Management Sciences of Faculty of Management and Information Sciences, and one student in the Department of International Communication Department of International Exchange Studies Faculty of International Humanities, who are studying teacher training.
At the study group, we had a special lecture by Mr. Jun Souma of Chiba Reimei High School (Yachimata City, Chiba Prefecture) on the theme of "The image of a teacher needed in the future," including a case study. Mr. Souma said that the important thing is to "keep seeing things from the students' perspective" and "keep trying to understand."
The graduates who participated said with a smile, "I was able to get back to my roots," and "It was good to be able to interact with current students." Going forward, we plan to hold this event every August.
