JIU Mathematics, Data Science, and AI Education Program

Josai International University University cultivates talent with expertise in mathematics, data science, and AI.
The JIU Mathematical Data Science Education Program aims to expand opportunities for all students, regardless of their academic background, to improve their fundamental and practical skills in mathematics, data science, and AI.
This program consists of the following two levels. Please see the items for each level for details.

Literacy Level

Certification validity period: Until March 31, 2018

The JIU Mathematics, Data Science, and AI Education Program aims to increase students' interest in mathematics, data science, and AI and to cultivate the basic ability (literacy level) to properly understand and utilize them.

Starting in 2022, our university will offer "Data Science I" as a common foundation subject group for all faculties in the bachelor's degree program (undergraduate course), as a subject to develop literacy-level abilities. This subject is composed of three items required by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology: [Introduction], [Basics], and [Knowledge]. By earning two credits, students will have completed the "Mathematics, Data Science, and AI Education Program" certified by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
