Why I Chose AEC

After spending nearly six years in hospitality business development, I never expected to return to graduate school. However, the COVID-19 pandemic gave me an opportunity to reflect on my career and future goals. I realized that investing in education was essential for my personal and professional growth.

My interests in business management, international development policy, and hospitality led me to GSIA. The program's combination of academic knowledge and practical learning perfectly matched my career aspirations. I believed that studying at GSIA would help me strengthen my leadership skills, develop an international perspective, and prepare for future opportunities in the global hospitality industry.

What I Learned

My research focuses on the factors influencing residents' participation in community tourism in Ninh Thuan, Vietnam. Through this research, I aim to contribute to the sustainable development of Vietnam's tourism industry.

At GSIA, I have improved my academic and research skills through Professor Kurosawa's seminar. Weekly discussions and personalized guidance have helped me advance my master's thesis and deepen my understanding of tourism and public policy. In addition, field trips to destinations across Japan have given me valuable opportunities to observe tourism policies and regional development initiatives in practice. These experiences have allowed me to connect classroom learning with real-world applications.

Career After Graduation

After graduation, I plan to spend at least five years working in Japan's tourism and hospitality industry, particularly in business management. My goal is to gain professional experience and contribute to the growth of the industry.

In the long term, I hope to establish a hospitality consulting organization in Vietnam that supports accommodation businesses and tourism operators. By combining the knowledge and experience gained at GSIA with practical industry experience, I aspire to contribute to the sustainable development of Vietnam's tourism sector.
