The Intensive Japanese Language and Culture Summer Program for Spelman College Students

スペルマン大学の学生を対象に日本語・日本文化サマープログラムを実施しました

The Intensive Japanese Language and Culture Summer Program was finally held in May and June with the participation of 26 students from Spelman College. Besides the daily Japanese language classes, lectures on Japanese culture and society were also conducted. One of the highlights of the program this year was the visit to the Embassy of the United States in Tokyo. U.S. Ambassador Rahm Emanuel and the U.S. Mission to Japan provided financial support to the students this year.

We have been hosting this program for 20 years and it’s our honor to teach the Spelman College students who choose to spend part of their summer here learning more about Japan.
 

2023年5月・6月に、スペルマン大学（米国）の学生26名を対象に、日本語・日本文化サマープログラムが開催されました。毎日の日本語の授業に加えて、日本文化や日本社会についての講義も行なわれました。今年のプログラムのハイライトのひとつは、在日米国大使館への訪問でした。ラーム・エマニュエル駐日米国大使と在日米国大使館・領事館は、スペルマン大学の学生たちに対して、資金援助を行いました。
