Class of April 2024
Studying in Japan has always been my dream. My interest in the Japanese language and culture began during my school years, and over time this curiosity grew into a deeper desire to understand the country and its society. After completing my bachelor’s degree in Uzbekistan, I decided to follow this long-held dream and come to Japan to pursue further education and continue my academic journey.
I chose the Graduate School of International Administration (GSIA) at Josai International University because it offers students the opportunity to study topics such as international development, public policy, and global governance while developing strong research and analytical skills. What makes GSIA especially attractive is its international academic environment, where students from different countries come together to exchange ideas and perspectives.
What I love most is the welcoming and supportive atmosphere created by the professors. The university provides an environment where students can openly share their ideas, learn from one another, and grow both academically and personally.
My research explores how JICA’s technical assistance contributes to tourism development in Uzbekistan and analyzes the perceptions of local stakeholders regarding its impact, challenges, and future opportunities.
I attend a seminar led by Professor Goro Komatsu. During the seminars, we regularly report on the progress of our research according to the schedule and receive guidance and feedback that helps us move our research forward. These discussions are very helpful for refining our ideas and improving our research.
The seminar group includes students studying in both English and Japanese, creating a diverse environment where we are able to use both languages and learn from different perspectives.
After graduation, I hope to pursue a career related to international cooperation and development, since the GSIA program has provided me with valuable knowledge in international administration, covering global topics such as international development, public policy, and global governance.
Stay motivated, be open to new perspectives, and enjoy the journey of learning at GSIA.
