Alhough youth is fleeting, you hold the power to choose where and how to make the most of every opportunity

Why did you choose to study at graduate school? Why GSIA? What do you like about GSIA?

I chose to study at graduate school to deepen my understanding of business and its digital transformation, especially considering the recent global changes. I selected GSIA specifically because the program incorporates political and social aspects that resonate with my background in law, as well as my interests in business and economics.

After two years of study, what I appreciate most is how the professors organize practical visits to museums, organizations, and various locations, which enriches our learning experience. Additionally, the emphasis on presentations and defense has significantly boosted my confidence in public speaking.

What is your research topic? What is your seminar class like? What would you like to pursue after graduation?

My research focuses on the online shopping behavior of Gen Z in Vietnam. Given the current context, particularly after the COVID-19 pandemic, traditional business models are struggling, and marketing strategies are increasingly shifting towards digital transformation. I believe that Gen Z will play a crucial role in shaping the future of commerce. Once my research is accepted, I hope that the data I gather will not only contribute to practical applications but also inform future studies in this area.

Although research is a new endeavor for me as a law graduate, I am fortunate to have Komatsu-Sensei as my advisor, who has provided invaluable support in data analysis. After graduation, I aspire to become a university lecturer in Vietnam, where I can share my knowledge and experiences with the next generation of students.

A message to prospective students

To prospective students, I would like to say this: Alhough youth is fleeting, you hold the power to choose where and how to make the most of every opportunity. I wish everyone the best in making the right choice for their upcoming two years of graduate school.
