The Asia Summer Program (ASP) was launched in 2013 by five universities from Thailand, Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Japan with the aim of promoting student exchange, especially among Asian countries. In 2020, the Program was unfortunately canceled due to the pandemic. However, this year, 2022, following on from 2021, the Program will be held online.
Josai International University will serve as the organizing and host university for the current ASP 2022 (9th), following on from the 3rd program which was held at JIU in 2015. The theme for ASP 2022 is "On the path to inclusion, diversity and understanding" and the aim is to foster future leaders with a strong understanding of Asian cultures, a broad and creative mindset, and a talent for international collaboration.
Participants will be mainly students from all six universities, including the five founding universities, referred to as the Original Five above, plus the university that chairs the Asian Presidents' Forum (in China). We hope that many students will participate and that the exchange will be enjoyable and meaningful.
