GSIA's faculty and graduate students meet Mr. Cosme Garcia Lopez, Secretary of Political and Strategic Affairs

2022年4月19日、昨年度、「国際理解・展望」の授業（担当：鈴木教授・黒澤准教授）で、メルバ・プリーア全権大使にご講義をいただいた際、メキシコ大使館へのご招待をいただきました。コロナ禍で延期になっていましたが、今回、大使館への表敬訪問が実現しました。

政治・戦略事業部書記官のコスメ・ガルシア氏、学術・科学担当参事官マヌエル・トリニダー氏から大使館の役割や、永田町に立地している歴史等についてご説明いただき、大使館内を見学しました。

プリーア全権大使に急遽公務が入ったため、大使とのご面会はかないませんでしたが、学生から大使への御礼の寄せ書きをトリニダー氏に手渡しました。後日、大使も感激されていたとのご連絡をいただきました。

On April 19, 2022, we had been invited to visit the Embassy of Mexico by Her Excellency Ambassador Melba Pria, who gave a lecture in our "International Understanding and Perspectives" class (Prof. Suzuki and Prof. Kurosawa) last school year.

Although postponed due to COVID-19 outbreak, the courtesy visit to the Embassy was realized this time. Mr. Cosme Garcia Lopez, Secretary of Political and Strategic Affairs, and Mr. Emmanuel Trinidad, Counsellor for Education, Science and Technology Cooperation, explained the role of the Embassy and the history of its location in Nagatacho, and gave us a tour of the Embassy.

Due to Ambassador Pria's urgent official business, we were not able to meet with the Ambassador, but our students handed a thank-you note for the Ambassador to Mr. Trinidad. We were later informed that the Ambassador was also very much impressed.
