Lecture by Ambassador Cadelo

On July 14, 2022, we welcomed His Excellency Mr. Manlio Cadelo, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of San Marino in Japan, as our guest speaker.

It was very interesting to learn that San Marino is the oldest republic in the world within Italy, that the two presidents change every six months, that San Marino has no army and has never fought a war, and that Ambassador Cadelo, who has a deep knowledge of Shinto, built the San Marino Shrine to commemorate the victims of the Great East Japan Earthquake.

He has been the Ambassador for 20 years and is also the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in Japan. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Ambassador Cadelo.
