On November 16, 2022, the students of GISA in the Service Management Class and undergraduate students of the Tourism Faculty joined Prof. Masashi ISHITANI to have a tour of the Park Hyatt Tokyo. The hotel was the international luxury hotel to open in Japan in 1994. Some scenes from the movie “Lost in Translation” were also filmed here.

The friendly staff helped us understand more about the brand and the hotel. We were led to visit the check-in lobby, high-class restaurant, banquet area, and especially the interior design of some room types at the hotel.

At the end of the session, we talked with the hotel staff about career opportunities in the hospitality industry. We also discussed the difficulties during the COVID-19 period and the depreciation of the YEN. They feel so happy to welcome foreign travelers back to Japan.
